Welcome!
Welcome to the Gunnison High School Drama Club’s production of Peter Pan. This show represents the culmination of hours of rehearsal time with the biggest undertaking of a production yet. Elaborate choreography with, at times, all 34 members of the cast on stage at once was a new addition to this production.
Directors Susan Barrett and Nancy Santarella’s vision of this production integrates the music, movement and acting that is as ambitious as professional versions of this show. Their vision and experience along with the expertise of Alyce Meredith, Mathew Coronado, Jeanene Nelson, and Katelyn Barrett will have you thoroughly entertained this evening. The hard work of the students in the cast and the crew, support from parents, staff and community members have made tonight’s performance possible. Thank you to all and enjoy the show!

CAST BIOGRAPHIES (Alphabetical Order by FIRST name)
Alexia “Woof” Orozco: 10th-grader Alexia is appearing in her first production and is crazy about and outrageous for her role as Nibs, because she feels that her personality is just like a lost boy’s. Wishing for her own special talents like Peter Pan’s, she would like to be able to fly; however, she may have to settle for her own talent of singing.
Ben "The Flipper" Wiens: 11th-grader Ben has appeared in many shows prior to this production: multiple movies, Gunnison Arts Center productions, as well as GHS musicals in the past. Wishing for his own special talents like Peter Pan’s, he would really like to be able to fly as well. Living forever would also be just grand! Some of Ben’s special talents include gymnastics and singing really, really high. Ben would like to, “thank the lovely audience for supporting our drama club! Hope the songs we sing don't just become ‘Distant Melodies’.”
Breanne "SwagSauce" Barrett: 11th-grader Breanne has appeared in three GHS productions: The Sound of Music, Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Annie Get Your Gun. Breanne is currently the President of the GHS Drama Club and is a member of the International Thespian Society. Wishing for her own special talents like Peter Pan’s, she would like to be able to ride on the wind’s back. She has surprised herself in this production by discovering that she is, “good at being a fatherly figure,” and she would like to say that she loves all of her Lost Boys and her mom!
Catie "Bon Bon" Hartsfield: 9th-grader Catie is an artist. She writes, “well, most people say that I'm pretty good at art.” Wishing for her own special talents like Peter Pan’s, she secretly wishes that she could make her creations come to life. Catie would like you to sit back and enjoy this year’s production of Peter Pan!
Clara "Fighter" Cranor: Clara is in her Senior Year and has been an avid participant in drama, both in the community and throughout her high school career. She has done at least four years of Missoula Children’s Theatre and has participated in the past two years of GHS theater: The Sound of Music and Narnia: The Lion and the Witch and the Wardrobe. She enjoys singing, acting, most of the classes she is taking at Western, and plans on starting a degree in Computer Science in the fall of 2017. She is a member of the International Thespian Society. Clara is active in both 4-H and Scouts. Among her many talents, Clara enjoys singing and sometimes math! If she could have a special power it would be to have telekinesis and wings, so that she could fly. Enjoy the show tonight!
Clara “Runner” Schulte: 10th-grader Clara had an early start with formal stage work beginning in 4th grade and continuing on at GMS with drama productions and poetry slam. She was cast in a short film through WSCU, at GHS she became the Vice President of the Drama Club, and was cast in GHS’s Narnia: The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. Clara draws on her 14 years of competitive dance and gymnastics experience to prepare for her role as Peter Pan. She is on the GHS cross country team, track team, swim team, Book Club, Sources of Strength, and maintains a 4.0 GPA. Clara writes, “I'm so very honored to be a Gunnison Cowboy and I will never grow up!”

She is a member of the International Thespian Society. Eileen has sung with GHS choirs and likes to play the piano. In preparation for her role as Wendy she states, “I am an older sister. Being bossy is just my calling.” Eileen has plans to go to college next year and hopes that she will always have music as an integral part of her life.
